Alternatives
What are the best Elevate alternatives?
Short answer
Good Elevate alternatives depend on what you want instead. Lumosity and Peak cover memory, attention and problem-solving; Peak adds an Apple Watch app. Impulse adds IQ-style and personality tests. Wits mixes general knowledge and language with logic, numbers, memory and focus, and plays on iPhone and the web.
We make Wits. Facts about other apps come from their own sites and App Store listings, checked November 7, 2026. No ratings or scores.
Why look beyond Elevate
Elevate, from The Mind Company, focuses on reading, writing, speaking, memory and math, with over 40 games and daily puzzles. Its free plan includes one three-game workout a day, a game of the week and basic tracking. On November 7, 2026, its site listed US App Store prices of $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $9.99 a month.
People look elsewhere for a few common reasons. They want different skills in the mix, such as attention or general knowledge; a different price or plan length; another device; or simply new games. The alternatives below differ most on exactly those points.

Lumosity
Lumosity may suit you if you want speed, attention and flexibility games, which Elevateâs own description doesnât list. Lumos Labs describes 40+ games that adapt as you play, a free 10-minute Fit Test and a Premium tier with a personalized training program and in-depth performance insights. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and Premium prices are listed on the App Store.
Lumosity may suit you if
- You want a personalized training program with detailed performance insights.
- Youâd like to compare your scores with your age group.
Peak
Peak may suit you if you want short workouts or an Apple Watch app. Synaptic Labs lists 45+ games and workouts for memory, attention, problem-solving, mental agility, language, coordination and emotion control, with a built-in Coach and Advanced Training modules. Thereâs a free basic version and a paid Peak Pro tier, priced on the App Store. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android.
Peak may suit you if
- You want short workouts like a five-minute Coffee Break, or an Apple Watch app.
- You want Advanced Training modules for specific skills.
Impulse
Impulse may suit you if you want tests as well as games. Next to a personalized daily plan for memory, processing speed, attention, mental math and problem-solving, it offers IQ, personality and emotional-intelligence tests and time-limited events. Itâs free with ads, a 3-day trial gives full access to all games, and its listing says itâs only for iPhone.
Impulse may suit you if
- You want personality and IQ-style tests alongside games.
- You enjoy time-limited events.
Wits
Wits may suit you if you want general knowledge and language in the daily mix. Itâs ours. In the iPhone app, each day brings Dot Path, a logic puzzle, and a set of quick games across six skills, with one-minute lessons that explain an idea before a game uses it. Premium, for the iPhone app, is $39.99 a year with 3 days free for new subscribers, or $6.99 a week, so thereâs a weekly option where Elevate lists a monthly one.
Wits for iPhone is available on the App Store. On the web, a free Wits account also plays Dot Path, Color Clash and Word Code.
Wits may suit you if
- You want general knowledge, reasoning and focus games alongside words and numbers.
- Youâd like an iPhone app with a few games on the web too.
- Youâd like the iPhone appâs short lessons, which explain an idea before a game uses it.
How to decide
Start from what youâd change about Elevate:
- Different skills: Lumosity for speed and flexibility, Impulse for tests, Wits for general knowledge and language.
- A different device: Peak lists an Apple Watch app, and Wits plays in a web browser with a free account. Check each appâs own site for the devices it supports today.
- A different plan: compare the yearly, monthly and weekly options each app lists, and note when any trial starts charging.
- The same skills with fresh games: try another appâs free tier for a week.
Whatever you choose, choose it because you enjoy it. People reliably get better at the games they practice, while evidence that brain games make everyday thinking easier is much weaker.
